If you answered, "heck yes I do," then keep reading. There are some qualifications that you need to meet before you can actually compete in the nationwide search.

  1. Were you born between June 2, 1997, and February 15, 2012?
  2. Are you a legal U.S. resident?
  3. Do you have any signed contracts that may interfere with a contract if you were to win?
  4. Have you run for public office lately?
  5.  Do you have any immediate family members who work for the media?
  6. Can you follow instructions and complete all the documents properly?
  7.  Have you been on American Idol and won?

If you can answer those questions like this, then you're good to go:

If you meet the criteria, American Idol producers are giving you an easy chance to show your skills and possibly make it on the show. They've made auditioning easier than ever. They offer multiple ways for you to show off your skills.

Including by posting a Social Media Audition Video to your preferred platform (i.e., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter/X and/or YouTube), uploading an audition video to the American Idol® Online Audition portal, attending an in-person audition, or virtually attending one of our "Idol Across America" video chat, virtual auditions via Zoom (the "Virtual Auditions").

If you're interested in a virtual audition, the audition producers have set aside Wednesday, September 9th, as Wyoming's audition day. Go to the American Idol Across America webpage and choose your audition date and time slot.
