Montana Players in the NFL: Midseason Recap
As we hit the halfway point in the 2024-2025 NFL season, we thought now might be a good time to check in with our Montana athletes who are active in the league. Injuries have currently benched one, while another is "questionable" for this weekend.
Alex Singleton - Broncos
Alex Singleton was an anchor for the Denver Broncos on defense this year to start the season including an interception in their first game against the Seahawks. Include the 31 total tackles and the important gap work of the linebacker and you find how valuable Singleton was to one of the top defenses in the league, claiming the top spot on the tackles chart and playing the majority of the defensive snaps.
Unfortunately, Singleton suffered a torn ACL in their week 3 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, leaving Alex sidelined for the rest of the season. The Bobcat is currently in year 2 of a 3-year deal with the Broncos and will look to bounce back stronger next year.

Will Dissly - Chargers
Playing with his first new team since being drafted by the Seahawks in 2018, Dissly finds himself on the brink of a career year with the Los Angeles Chargers. The 28-year-old came into the season unsure of who would be #1 on the depth chart, having Hayden Hurst to contend with.
Since then Dissly has become one of Justin Herbert’s more consistent targets, averaging 4.5 targets per game and converting on 3 of them for 30 yards. Still looking for his first touchdown of the year, Will had his season-high against the Cardinals, catching 8 of 11 targets for 81 yards.
With playoff hopes on the horizon for the Chargers, keep an eye on Dissly’s production to increase as his chemistry with Herbert increases.
Troy Andersen - Falcons
In only his 3rd year in the NFL, Troy Andersen has only played in 6 games in the last 2 seasons. Suffering a pec injury against the Lions, Andersen is just getting back into playing form, being listed as “questionable” for the Falcon’s upcoming game against their divisional rival, the Saints.
The Falcons were hoping Andersen could be the anchor of the right side of the defense, a high prospect when he came out of Montana State in the 2nd round of the draft. Sitting on 44 total tackles, with 26 of them being solo, and a pick-six to his name, Andersen will be eager to get back out onto the field and help his team leap into the playoffs.
Daniel Hardy - Bears
After being waived by the Rams in 2023, Daniel Hardy has managed to stay in the league and find a spot on a roster at Defensive End. While he isn’t managing the stats or playing time of the others on this list, Daniel Hardy has stepped into his role on the Chicago Bears, managing 5 solo tackles and 6 total, along with a forced fumble against the Jaguars across the Pacific in London.
Hardy’s development is still in progress, and we’ll see if the Bobcat alum can carve out his spot in the league.
